Focus, Booth F12 + NYC Sculpture

Galerie Hugues Charbonneau presents the New York debut of Clovis-Alexandre Desvarieux with a solo presentation in Focus, curated by María Elena Ortiz as part of this year’s Caribbean-focused program.
Born in Port-au-Prince and based in Montreal, Desvarieux has developed a fluid pictorial language between figuration and abstraction, where Haitian mythology and history meet the natural world.
Nearby, as part of NYC Sculpture, Manuel Mathieu presents Shhrine (2025), an olfactory installation composed of burned textile and ceramic, where a fragrance developed in collaboration with Juliette Karagueuzoglou becomes a material through which memory and collective experience are activated. Mathieu is currently presenting work at the 61st Venice Biennale, in both the Arsenale and Giardini.
